One Day Retrospective: Alys Scott Hawkins

Arches Studios is holding a One Day Retrospective of work from artist / film-maker, and former Tower House resident Alys Scott Hawkins.

The One Day Retrospective is an invitation to fellow artists to come and give their thoughts on the work and to contextualise recent work against work made many years ago.

Alys is a Southampton based artist working within Illustration, Film, and Animation. Commissions and exhibitions include a light drawing performance in collaboration with dance company Rambert for the British Art Show Fringe; ‘Responses’ a cut paper installation made in response to new writing from Matt Parvin, as part of the Nuffield Writers Lab; and Right Here: the City as Muse, drawing made on bus journeys through Southampton, scaled up to larger than life size on the gallery wall.

This is a solo art exhibition is a new exhibition format for the Arches Studios and for one night only and fellow artists are invited.
