Artist Survival Guide #15 - ACE Special

As the world returns a new form of normality here at ‘a space’ we are continuing to provide you with opportunities to support and inform your practice.

In this concise version of the Artist Survival Guide we are focusing on two major funding opportunities so we don’t distract with lots of other great stuff.  Our message in this survival guide is simple – apply to the Arts Council for a Project Grant or get ready to apply for Developing Your Creative Practice from this autumn.

Arts Council England has opened up the National Lottery Project Grants with an increased budget of £59.8 million available until April 2021, and have just announced an increase in the Developing Your Creative Practice budget to £18m.

So come on Southampton artists this is a great time to make an application – if you’ve never applied before and want to discuss making an application contact ‘a space’ arts and we will assist you in the process.

ACE state –  we have prioritised reopening this programme to help fund independent organisations, creative practitioners and freelancers as quickly as possible

Either way we would recommend having a look at these very useful ACE Project Grant templates from the very helpful people @TheUncultured

Plus… there is only a couple of days to go to apply for this exciting role with John Hansard Gallery – Artist and Arts Educator required to develop an outreach programme to accompany the touring exhibition, Seaside Photographed. Deadline is July 31st.
