Artist Voices - How do artists sell their work?
As part of our newly launched Artist Development programme, ‘a space’ invites you to Artist Voices, a panel discussion focusing on approaches to selling work.
We’re lucky to have guests with a range of different experiences for a conversation which shares knowledge and ideas:
Peter Symonds is the artist behind the Accessible Art Show and Southampton Day of Art (on Saturday 23rd March) who will be reflecting on the success of these two events and presenting future opportunities for artists to sell their work.
Debbie Lee is a painter based in rural Dorset, whose work uses storytelling to create personal narratives. Her work has been featured in many open submission exhibitions across the UK.
James Earley is a portrait painter drawn to subjects who live life on the edge. His work has been nominated for national awards and exhibited at art fairs in the UK and abroad.
Alys Scott-Hawkins, Artist Development Officer at ‘a space’ arts will be chairing the conversation and inviting questions from the audience.
Thursday 4th April, 6-8pm at Arch 4, Arches Studios in central Southampton. This is a free event but as there’s limited seating we encourage you to book a ticket in advance to guarantee your place, as we’re expecting it to be popular.
