Imogen Marooney awarded Platform Graduate Award 2019

‘a space’ arts is delighted to share the news that Imogen Marooney has been awarded the Platform Graduate Award 2019.

The Winchester School of Art graduate was one of four artists from this summer’s RIPE programme at Old Northam Road to have been selected to exhibit at Aspex Gallery in Portsmouth along with Mathew Scott (Solent University), Jade Anthony, and Sofia Popova (both WSA). In total thirteen recent graduates were exhibited at Aspex Gallery as part of Platform 2019.

The Platform initiative is led by CVAN South East (Contemporary Visual Arts Network South East) and is a partnership between four galleries: Aspex, MK Gallery in Milton Keynes, Modern Art Oxford and Turner Contemporary in Margate, with each gallery selecting and exhibiting work by recent graduates within their region. Following the exhibition and events programme, an artist from each gallery is nominated for the Platform award.

Imogen receives a twelve month professional development and creative mentoring package, supported by the participating Platform galleries, plus a bursary of £2,000 to support her creative and professional development.

Imogen will also be exhibiting in the recently announced series of exhibitions within the Hidden Wardrobe.
