God's House Tower Town Quay Road SO14 2NY

Friday 26th September, 7pm – 11pm

Part of a series of late night events at God’s House Tower, GHT Lates is an opportunity to explore the building by night while enjoying live performances from some of the South’s best musicians.

Sorrel Nation – Travelling troubadour Sorrel Nation brings a soulful mix of folk-rock to country and beyond and possesses “one of those voices that makes you immediately stop what you’re doing to give her your full attention” [1]. She engages audiences with emotive lyrics, 70s-inspired style and “a voice full of soul, which further increases the seductive power of her songs” [2]. Known for penning songs that can truly “open the heart to grief and like all valued songwriters possess a giving presence…she heralds gorgeous ballads that could become Sorrel Nation’s trademark sound”.

Washed Out Parade – Washed Out Parade are a roots collective, formed on the UK festival circuit, and based in Hampshire. They specialise in heart wrenching and foot stomping originals, written by their lead guard of singer and guitarist Jon Sharps and singer and keys player Ri Baroche. The name ‘parade’ really comes into force at their live gigs, where a multitude of musical combinations could occur, and an always eclectic and electric sound guaranteed. Their debut album, Ragged Mile, was released on 7th April 2025. With 15 musicians under their banner on the record, the album’s release was celebrated with a packed out show in Southampton the day before. They’re currently working on their second work of all original material, due for release in 2026.

Lost Post – Lost Post are an alt-country band, formed in a Southampton pub in 2022 by Arkansasforged singer and guitarist, Brandon Otto; Romani bassist, Niki Balazs; Southamptonborn lap steel, banjo, and harmonica player, A.M. Davis; and joined soon after by writer and lyricist Alice Stinetorf; and producer, guitarist and vocalist, Lou Sawdy. The band draw on the rich storytelling elements of both old-time American and traditional English music, woven into a unique blend of foot-stomping country, swampy blues and delicate folk music.

And remember to come hungry as we’ll be joined by Southampton’ food icon Mama’s Kitchen!

Don’t forget that when you’re not listening to the bands you have exclusive access to explore God’s House Tower after hours, including our permanent exhibition The Stories Behind the Stones as well as our newest exhibition Our Coffers Were Emptied to Pay for Your Pleasures by Josie Turnbull.
