God's House Tower
God's House Tower, Town Quay Road, Southampton, SO14 2NY
God’s House Tower is only a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the High Street. GHT is located in the heart of Southampton’s Old Town, just a short distance from the historic Oxford Street and opposite Town Quay.
On foot
GHT is a 15 minute walk from West Quay and 20 minutes from Southampton Central Station and the Cultural Quarter. Follow the signs down the High Street to the ‘Old Town’ and you’ll soon find GHT on the far left corner before Queen’s Park.
On Train
The closest train station to GHT is Southampton Central, which is a key transport link to cities such as Portsmouth, London and Manchester. The station is also situated close to other transport links such as bus stops and a taxi rank. The station is around a 20 minute walk to GHT. To get to GHT, follow the route into the City Centre down the High Street towards Town Quay.
By car
Our closest car parks are Gloucester Square and Mayflower Park which are both a 2 minute walk away and provide a step free route to GHT. Further afield there are parking bays in Ocean Village and West Quay which are a 10 minute walk.
On Bus
GHT and Town Quay can be found on a number of bus routes including: U1, U6 and Quay Connect.
On bike
If you are cycling to GHT, you will find a bicycle rack on Lower Canal Walk next to the building, which you can use to lock up your bicycle.

On Foot
If you’re approaching The Arches from the city centre, walk down the High Street and take a left at Holyrood Church onto Bernard Street. Continue on Bernard Street then take a left onto Captains Place. Follow the road around, the studios are located under the bridge.
By Bike
Southampton has many designated cycle paths and routes throughout the city. There are bike stands on Captain Place, around the corner from Arches Studios; they are located outside Red Hot Press Printing Studio.
Bikes are available throughout the city via Yo Bike, a dockless bike sharing system. Download the app to get started.
By Train
The nearest train station is Woolston which is 1.0 miles from Arches Studios, a 12 minute bus journey or a 20 minute walk.
Southampton Central is 1.2 miles away, a 12 minute bus journey or a 25 minute walk.
By Bus
The following First buses stop at Itchen Bridge which is a short walk from Arches Studio.
Route 6 – connects Hamble-Le-Rice, Netley, Newtown, Woolston, the City Centre and Chapel
Route 9 – connects Pleasant View, Botany Bay, Sholing, Bitterne
The Three – connects Thornhill, Sholing, Woolston, Shirley, Millbrook and Lordshill.
Solent Rangers (X4 and X5) – connects Southampton to Gosport and Portsmouth
By Car
M3: At junction 14 Use the left 2 lanes to exit towards A33/Southampton. Follow A33 to Captains Place.
M27: At junction 8, take the A3024 exit to Southampton/East Docks/Hamble. Follow A3024, Botley Rd/B3033 and A3025 to Captains Place.
The nearest car park is College Street.
