GHT is open this summer as conservation works continue

We have a fantastic programme of exhibitions, events and activities to enjoy this summer, and we’re open as usual while essential conservation works take place.

Conservation work is now underway at GHT as part of the Heritage Asset Repair Programme (HARP). HARP is working across the Old Town, carrying out essential repairs to some of the city’s medieval buildings, and it’s now our turn. Once complete, our historic landmark will look fantastic.

While the work is taking place, you may notice some scaffolding around the building. Please bear with us while these repairs are carried out. It’s only temporary, and we can’t wait to share the finished result with you.

In the meantime, there’s plenty to discover at GHT. Explore our exhibitions, relax in the Café, browse our Artist Shop and make the most of your visit this summer!

GHT Opening Days:

Monday: 9am – 4pm
Thursday: 10am – 4pm
Friday: 10am – 5pm
Saturday: 10am – 5pm
Sunday: 10am – 4pm
