As part of Black History Month, we will be screening your favourite film from Steve McQueen’s anthology Small Axe, a quintet exploring West Indian life in London from the late 1960s through the early ’80s. Cast your vote for what you want to see HERE.
The voting will close a week before the event, so don’t forget to cast your vote before it’s too late ! You’ll find out what film you’ll be watching when you arrive on the night.
What to expect on the night
The doors to GHT will open at 6:30 PM, and the bar will be open for drinks and snacks. There will only be one screening on the night, which will take place downstairs in the bar.
When you arrive, get yourself a seat and make yourself at home!

Access
The cafe is step free from Town Quay Road. The cafe extension will be used as a quiet space throughout the evening, with dimmed lighting and quiet music. Please use this space if for any reason you need to take a break.
What to bring
Wrap up warm as GHT can get cool at night. There will be plenty of chairs, beanbags and other seating available.
Tickets
Please have your ticket ready when you arrive on the night for a member of the team to check at the front door.
This event is totally free to attend and we’ll be operating a ‘pay what you feel’ system at the end of the night. If you have a good night and can spare a few pounds we’d really appreciate it. All donations are welcome. You can also support by buying drinks and snacks at the bar.
All funds raised will help us keep these events free and will help to build a community around these events of people who love good film!
