Announcing RIPE's 2022 graduates, the Plums
Posted: 18/07/2022
We’re thrilled to announce we’ve selected a new cohort of talented graduate artists from Solent University and Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton as part of 2022’s RIPE programme.
Ripe Plums #01 and #02 is an upcoming two-part exhibition which will see 14 graduates showcase a recent body of work as they look to develop their artistic careers. This is our first year in supporting 14 graduates, making the programme bigger than ever, and we’re delighted to be providing even more artists with the opportunity to continue their practice as they transition from students to emerging artists.
We can now reveal the RIPE 2022 graduates and exhibiting artists are:
Crystal Bloomfield, Eleanor Brown, Bethan Givens, Alexandra Holland, Hans Lam, Stephanie Parker, Signe Eliza Pook, Lachlan Ross, Anjella Stevenson, Daisy Steed, Annabel Tennyson-Davies, Ben Topping, Michele Waldron-Cooper, and Maria Valaitis.
Launching in July 2022, the programme will provide an opportunity for the artists to meet, support each other through exhibition install and engage in critical debate; forming networks and friendships that will help them sustain a fruitful visual arts practice here in Southampton
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing you to each of the artists and their creative practice through exclusive profiles and a behind the scenes look at the upcoming exhibition. Make sure you follow RIPE on Instagram to find out more about this years RIPE artists.
