Save the Date - Artist Voices: In Conversation with Enam Gbewonyo, Péjú Oshin and Nadia Thondrayen

We’re delighted to announce a new Artist Voices event is coming soon to God’s House Tower, bringing together influential artists and art workers to share and discuss their experiences with local audiences.

As part of ‘a space arts’ expanded Artist Voices programme, Meeting Point artist Enam Gbewonyo will be in-conversation with curator, writer, lecturer Péjú Oshin, and Nadia Thondrayen, Exhibitions Curator at John Hansard Gallery.

Enam will introduce her installation at God’s House Tower, Gardez L’Eau, and the panel will dig deeper into the creative and practical processes artists and curators use when bringing commissions and exhibitions to life, considering questions around how artists respond to and navigate expectations of curators and arts organisations when making new work, how certain types of art practice impact opportunity, and what can institutions do better to support the artists they work with?

Each panelist will invite an open conversation using pre-determined questions as a point of consideration and provocation for the rest of the panel and the audience.

To encourage a discursive atmosphere, we invite the audience to ask questions and contribute to the conversation throughout the event. If you would like for the guest speakers to consider questions in advance of the night please send to [email protected].

Artist Voices: In Conversation with Enam Gbewonyo, Péjú Oshin and Nadia Thondrayen – Thursday 28th July 6pm – 8pm
