The GHT Creative Writing Group returns this October for a new writing workshop exploring Black History Month, and you’re invited to take part.
Hosted by writer and facilitator Susmita Bhattacharya, the workshop will explore the theme of Black History Month, and we’ll be focusing on food and the history of it. What did the Windrush generation bring to Southampton in terms of food and how did being a port city influence the food of Southampton?
We’d like you to come to this session and bring along a recipe from your personal heritage to contribute to a culinary map of Southampton. We’ll also be tasting a dish from Southampton’s Black Heritage Association as well as a couple of others!
You’ll also have time to explore our latest exhibition by artist Ebun Sodipo ‘For my Only Love, Yours in Body and Soul’
The GHT Creative Writing Group workshops are free and open to all levels from those who have never tried creative writing to self published authors and everything in between.
GHT Creative Writing Group #4 takes place at God’s House Tower on Saturday 15th October from 1.30pm – 3.30pm (spaces are limited). Find out more about the workshop, our host Susmita and how to book here
