Southampton Clothes Swap Fundraiser For IWD

They’re back at the beautiful God’s House Tower for International Women’s Day! This one’s a little different as they’re doing a one off fundraiser for Yellow Door, a local charity supporting people of all genders who are impacted by sexual and/or domestic abuse.
For this swap they’ve suggested £3 minimum donation if you’re able, but if you’re able to give more this goes a long way to supporting local people. To read more about Yellow Door, check out www.yellowdoor.org.uk
The usual swap rules ‘bring things you don’t want, leave with things you do’ apply but please read the below plan of how this event will take place because it’s important.
1. This swap is still a suggested donation of £2 entry so guests can arrive at any time and have the option to pay by contactless.
2. Use the provided hand gel on the entrance before going in and you can use this after too. Wear your mask if you wish.
3. Lay your things out neatly and chose things you’d like.
4. Try to go through in one direction, keep things tidy and keep distance from others.

Clothes swaps are an informal environment which saves clothes from landfill and presents an exciting alternative to spending your money on new things from expensive shops and potentially unethical production methods.
