Artsmark Partners Briefing (Southampton)
Tuesday 5th May 2020 10:00am - 12:30pm
A special online event delivered by Artswork in partnership with a space arts.
Becoming an Artsmark Partner is a great way for artist educators to deepen their relationships with schools and other education settings such as pupil referral units, youth offending teams and sixth form colleges.
The Artsmark Partnership Programme is an Arts Council England endorsed network of providers who are devoted to bringing great arts and cultural opportunities to children and young people. Artsmark Partners support Artsmark registered schools and other educational settings on their journey to embed arts and culture across the curriculum. The programme was developed in consultation with the education and cultural sectors.
To become an Artsmark Partner, providers must adhere to a Code of Practice – renewed annually – and must also take part in an Artsmark Partnership Programme Briefing.
This Artsmark Partnership Programme briefing will give you a thorough overview of the Artsmark process and support you to start mapping your offer to it. Find out more about Artsmark.
This two-hour facilitated session is preceded by a small amount of online pre-reading. Links to the reading materials will be sent with your Confirmation of Booking. After the briefing, attendees will have the opportunity to view the latest online exhibition from God’s House Tower, a unique and distinctive arts and heritage venue housed in one of Southampton’s most important historic buildings. You’ll be able to hear from the A Space Arts team about their offer to schools and how it’s adapting to the current challenges.
This free event is open to arts practitioners and cultural organisations in the South East of England. In the event of a registration being received from an ineligible booker, Artswork will cancel the booking and send a notification email.
As this is an online event, it’s BYOB – Bring your own Biscuits!
