Join us for GHT Lates at God’s House Tower for an evening of local music, art and heritage after hours.
Part of a series of late night events at GHT, this event is an opportunity to explore the building by night and enjoy a series of performances from musicians from Southampton and beyond. Immerse yourself in the captivating surroundings of God’s House Tower here in the historic Old Town whilst enjoying the flourishing creative scene in the city.
The GHT Cafe & Bar will be open throughout the evening, serving you a variety of refreshing, locally sourced drinks from Unity Brewing Co Beer to Coffee by Peaberry Coffee Roasters.
GHT Lates #9 features:
Puddleglum: Puddleglum is a Southampton-based folk band that specialises in Eastern European/ Kletzmer instrumental music with a few unexpected numbers thrown in for fun!
Owen Hackett: Owen Hackett is a singer songwriter from Southampton. Until recently the frontman of indie band, Shy Boy he is now returning to his singer songwriter roots. Influenced by artists such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Glen Hansard.
The Postmen: In the land of The Postmen, down at the Darktown Dead letter Office, Woody Guthrie meets The Fall, Johnny Thunders converses with Curtis Mayfield, & Tati has his Jour de Fete most weeks. We rock, we folk, we roll, losing those same old blues along the way. We play originals written in the depths of lockdown & classics that you should all know. Our delivery round is on a non-stop carousel, of brightly painted bikes & customised workwear. Don’t forget your dancing shoes…
And don’t forget to arrive hungry as we’ll be joined by Mama’s Kitchen serving up delicious Thai food
How to book
Tickets for this event cost £5 per person, and give you unlimited access to GHT and the live performances throughout the evening. You can book your ticket in advance on Eventbrite (click here), or on the door on the night.
This event will take place in the Cafe & Bar which is located on the ground floor and has step-free, wheelchair access and the Main Gallery which is located on the first floor and has lift-access.
