Mentor Mondays is back this November, and we’re pleased to be joined by curator and researcher Rose Lejeune.

For the November session, Rose will be offering support, advice and guidance for artists and artworkers living or working in the SO postcode area. This opportunity would be particularly suited to those working in fields such as curation and research, or those who explore are interested in social and performative practices.

Mentor Mondays is on Monday 21st November. There are three 45 minute sessions available between 9am – 12pm and the sessions will take place online via Zoom.

These sessions are free and open to those living and working in the SO postcode area. The 1-to-1’s will take place online via Zoom and you will be sent a link ahead of your session. There are only three sessions available so early booking is advised to avoid missing out.

 

About the Mentor

Rose Lejeune is a curator and researcher with a specific interest in commissioning and collecting context-based, social and performative practices.  She is the Director of Performance Exchange, an UK-wide project working to embed performance within collections. Rose is also Associate Curator for the Delfina Foundation’s Collecting as Practice programme which examines the politics and economics of global collections and works as an independent curator, writer and consultant both in the UK and internationally, with current and recent projects in Abu Dhabi, Barcelona, Riyadh and Linz among others.  She has built a reputation for curatorial innovation and in 2020 was named in ArtNet’s Intelligence Report as a “global innovator” for her work on expanding collections.

    Part of ‘a space’ arts expanded Artist Voices ProgrammeMentor Mondays invites visual arts professionals from across the UK to hold zoom 1-to-1 sessions with artists & artworkers from the SO postcode area.

    On one Monday of every month we will offer three 45 minute 1-to-1 sessions on zoom which will be available to book on a first come first serve basis.

    1-to-1s will be led by mentors with wide-ranging professional visual arts experience: curating, writing, fundraising, publishing, commercial art and more. These sessions are designed to support with critical feedback on work, funding advice, and developing career strategies.
