Pitch Your Project: Black History Month 2024
Tuesday 10th September – Monday 20th January 2025
Pitch Your Project is an exciting new opportunity for a community-focused, global majority-led project in Southampton (or the surrounding areas) to win a £2,000 bursary. The funding could provide support for a new initiative, or help to contribute to the ongoing work of an existing project.
We’re looking to fund a global majority-led project which delivers social benefit for people in Southampton or the surrounding areas.
If you have a new initiative or ongoing project that:
- Builds connection and/or creative skills within local communities
- Provides social benefit and is not-for-profit
- Delivers any kind of creative output
Then you’re in the right place! We are particularly interested in receiving applications from individuals and groups from underrepresented backgrounds, including projects which are LGBTQIA+led and disability led.
All we need from you is a short proposal about your community benefitting project, telling us about yourself and your creative background – these initial proposals will be shortlisted by the ‘a space’ arts team and shortlisted participants will be invited to prepare a 10 minute pitch to present during an event at God’s House Tower in February 2025.
After that, it’ll be in the hands of the audiences for a week to decide which project should receive the bursary & exhibition showcase.
