Ripe Mangoes was a two-part exhibition of outstanding work by a group of recent graduates from Southampton Solent University and Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton.

The project provided an opportunity for a group of emerging artists to exhibit a recent body of work in a new space, the Alfred Arcade. The artists met, exhibited and engaged in critical debates; forming networks and friendships that provided a fruitful visual arts practice in Southampton.

Ripe Mangoes #02 was on display from Friday 16th August until Sunday 18th August 2019.

 

As part of this summer’s RIPE programme at Old Northam Road, artist Kelly Sinclair unveiled a new installation in the window of the Hidden Wardrobe. Kelly exhibited at Ripe Bananas in 2018 having graduated from Solent Southampton University in 2018.

Freedom Furnished, a night of live events and installation by Daniel Tebano took place in the Alfred Arms.
