Something Comedy Takeover
Event, In Person, Performance
Wednesday 1st May 2024 7:00pm
God's House Tower, Town Quay Road, Southampton, SO14 2NY
Join us for a comedy brought to you by the team behind Something Comedy – Southampton’s newest comedy night. This time we’re hosting a solo show performed by Nate Kitch, hosted by Matt Hobs.
Nate Kitch: In a State of Flux (Edinburgh Preview)
The basically-award-winning*, ‘real WTF comic’ (Chortle.co.uk) brings an hour show to the people of Southampton in his run up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer.
Expect: poems, bags, chess, big ideas, poems and bigger bags, small ideas, paper, hope and diagrams. It’ll be like if Kazimir Malevich and James Joyce and/or Samuel Beckett did something (probably).
‘Bold… Truly stood out’ **** (List).
‘Hints of Simon Munnery… Something very special’ (BeyondTheJoke.co.uk).
‘So special and inventive it’s frustrating’ (Jin Hao Li).
**** (Scotsman).
*So You Think You’re Funny? finalist 2021. Nate Kitch
Host for the show is Matt Hobs:
Matt Hobs has been performing on the comedy circuit since 2012. Matt is a proud Bristolian, scientist, and silly sausage.’
“Hobs’ explanations are equal to that of the best lecturers, and undoubtedly funnier… a very likeable leading comic with a talent for multimedia comedy” – The Wee Review
