Announcing RIPE 2021 Summer Season
We are thrilled to announce the launch of RIPE 2021 Summer Season with a new series of exhibitions and events that celebrate emerging talent in the city.
Following on from the success of previous years, RIPE 2021 will showcase exciting work from recent graduates as they look to take the next step in their artistic careers in addition to featuring work from previous graduates and RIPE artists.
Having recently hosted James Hewins at the Hidden Wardrobe and ARTICLE 16 by Asten Holmes-Elliot at the Alfred Arcade, the summer season will continue with Tomato Catch-up at the Alfred Arcade from Friday 23rd July until Sunday 25th July and Benji Heinke at the Hidden Wardrobe from Friday 23rd July until Sunday 15th August. This will be followed by the launch of Ripe Peaches #01 at the Alfred Arcade from Friday 20th August to Sunday 22nd August and Fred Ashleigh Thornton at the Hidden Wardrobe from Friday 20th August to Friday 10th September. The summer season will conclude with Ripe Peaches #02 at the Alfred Arcade from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th September.
Each exhibition will host an event launch on Old Northam Road, with the exhibiting artist giving a talk and discussing their work with attendees. The Alfred Arms will also be open to provide refreshments. In addition to hosting an IRL event, those unable to attend the launch will be able to join virtually via the ‘a space’ YouTube Channel.
