Deadline extended - Visualising Policy Open Call
Posted: 21/01/2022
We’re pleased to announce we have extended our deadline for our recent Visualising Policy Open Call giving you another opportunity to apply for this exciting project.
We’re looking for a global majority artist to design a visual version of our Anti-Racism Plan alongside images and animations or GIF’s that each symbolise the 15 commitments in our Anti-Racism Plan. Whether you’re a graphic designer, an illustrator, collage artist or animator, this is a great opportunity to develop your professional portfolio and design a public facing work which will be shared both digitally and in print. We’re open to all ideas on how you would interpret the Anti-Racism Plan and welcome applications from all creative disciplines.
The commissioned artist will receive a fee of £2,000 (which includes all costs and expenses) and will be supported by the ‘a space’ arts team, with the option to work collaboratively on the final artworks.
The closing date for expressions of interest is Monday 21st January 9am.

*A note on terminology
- We acknowledge language is fluid and evolving and aim to ensure our use of language remains inclusive and inoffensive.
- As an organisation we have joined the movement to reject the acronym BAME as this state- manufactured term flattens and depoliticises global solidarity between people with a lived experiences of racism.
- We acknowledge the term ‘people of global majority’ as it is factually true with over 80% of the world’s population making up the global majority of non-white peoples.
