Fallow Fields opens this weekend
There’s a new exhibition launching this weekend at GHT, and you’re invited to join us for the launch.
Opening this Friday at our flagship venue God’s House Tower (GHT), Fallow Fields is a new exhibition bringing together work by five artists in ‘a space’ arts 2022 ‘Turning Point’ Bursary programme: Jennifer Anyan, Tracy Dovey, Elizabeth Hammond & Maija Liepins, and Linn O’Carroll.
Having been awarded the bursary in early 2022, over the last 6 months, the artists have undertaken a fallow period of self-led artistic experimentation, development and risk-taking to push beyond existing boundaries within their practices and yield new ways of working. Featuring a collection of multi-disciplinary works offering an insight into the artists, this is your chance to see their creative development in action and discover more about how the Turning Point Bursary has supported their ongoing practice as mid-career artists.
We will also be hosting a free launch event on Friday 27th January from 6pm – 8pm at GHT and you’re invited to join us. At the event you can hear from the exhibiting artists, who’ll be giving a short talk to audiences on an artist-led tour, and can enjoy a drink or two whilst networking and getting to know other artists and creatives. Fallow Fields is on display at GHT from Friday 27th January until Sunday 5th March 2023.
