Hidden Histories returns this Spring!

With the GHT 2022 programme now in full swing, this spring sees the welcome return of the popular Hidden Histories walking tour and you’re invited to join us.

Launching this March, the Hidden Histories Trail will take participants on an eye-opening walking tour throughout Southampton’s Old Town, providing the opportunity to learn unearthed and unspoken stories of the city’s diverse history spanning over 400 years.

The trail is led by a team of friendly and engaging volunteer guides who have all undergone intensive training as part of the Hidden Histories programme and developed their own research projects exploring the city’s Black History to inform their knowledge and understanding as guides.    

The Hidden Histories Trail will be available monthly from March to September and will start and finish at God’s House Tower. The tour costs £5 per person and the proceeds from ticket sales will go towards continuing ‘a space’ arts work to research, learn and share the diverse history of Southampton in new and creative ways.

Trail dates: Saturday 5th March, Saturday 2nd April, Saturday 7th May, Saturday 4th June, Saturday 2nd July, Saturday 6th August and Saturday 3rd September.
