Join us for RIPE Live: Ripe Peaches #01/Signs of the Times Takeover
Join us for the launch of RIPE Live: Ripe Peaches #01 / Signs of the Times Takeover, an exciting showcase of emerging talent and the thriving creative community in the city.
Ripe Peaches #01 at the Alfred Arcade, the first in a two-part exhibition of outstanding work by the Ripe Peaches, a group of recent graduates from Solent University and Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton. The featured artists in this first showcase are Macie Emery, Megan Honey, Anna Marris, Rodrigo Lourenco Mestre, Jennifer Russell and Molly Taylor.
You can also explore Signs of the Times by ZEST Collective. This co-created community art exhibition features signs and posters that remember the history and heritage of Old Northam Road and envision its future: radical artistic interventions in highly visible places. This exhibition at the Hidden Wardrobe is an extension of the main public art trail and offers a chance to find out more about the project, meet the artists and take part in a participatory photography activity.
Live music will be provided at the Alfred Arms by Southampton based DJ HANIN, where drinks will be served from 6pm – 11pm.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it to our launch event, we will also be launching both exhibitions online on the ‘a space’ arts YouTube channel.
