New exhibition coming to the Hidden Wardrobe

We’re delighted to present ‘Women & Football’, a new community-created exhibition launching this weekend as part of our Autumn RIPE programme.

‘Women & Football’ is a new exhibition by local artist and Arches Studios resident Jilly Evans created in collaboration with community groups. Exploring the themes of community and women’s football, the exhibition celebrates Southampton’s connection to the sport and references the city’s recent pride as a host city for the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022, as well as the successes of women’s football here in the city. Through a collection of knitted scarves, the exhibition invites audiences to explore the invisible stories of women’s football in Southampton and celebrate the sense of community and pride in the city.
