Opening this weekend - Inspirational Women Artists

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2022, we’re thrilled to be launching our latest exhibition Inspirational Women Artists this Friday at God’s House Tower.

Having previously released a call out for creatives to submit works inspired by their favourite female identifying and non-binary artists, we were overwhelmed to receive over 100 submissions from UK-based and overseas artists, and you’ll now be able to explore this collection of powerful and thought-provoking works highlighting the influential impact of women artists past and present and how their legacy has inspired the artists of today. From intricate illustrations to graphic prints and quirky collages, ‘Inspirational Women Artists’ will provide an opportunity for emerging and established artists to exhibit their works in one of Southampton’s most historic venues whilst building important networks with the wider artist community.

You can also bid on your favourite works in our silent auction and be in with the chance of taking your favourite artwork home. For each artwork sold, 50% of the proceeds will go to the artist who made the work and 50% will be donated to Yellow Door, a Southampton-based charity that helps prevent and responds to domestic and sexual abuse.

Inspirational Women Artists is free to visit and open from Friday 25th February to Sunday 6th March 2022.
