Performers - Last chance to apply to our open call
Posted: 07/04/2022
Musicians and performers, it’s your last chance to apply for our open call and be in with the chance of performing at the historic God’s House Tower.
We’re looking for 6 musicians to perform at our exhibition closing event on 6th May, as we celebrate sound artist and composer Emily Peasgood’s recent exhibition When I Grow Up I Want To Be A Ship. As part of this exciting open call, we want you to create your own interpretation of Emily’s song featured in the exhibition, which shares the story of the solent through the perspective of a young boy witnessing the construction of Southampton’s docks from God’s House Tower. Whether you are a folk singer, rapper or violinist, the opportunity is open to all performing disciplines and each performer will receive a flat fee of £50.
You can find out more about the opportunity and how to apply here. Closing date for applications is Monday 11th April at 9am. Good luck!
