The winner for Pitch Your Project 2025 is in… 📣
Congratulations to Ren Woolridge! Her project ‘Create and Connect: Empowering Creative Bonds Among Women in Southampton’ is the winning pitch this year.
The winning project will be awarded a £2,000 bursary as well as an exhibition opportunity at God’s House Tower, while the runners up will receive support-in-kind from ‘a space’ arts, including access to space, resources and expertise.

This community-driven project ‘Create & Connect’ empowers and unites creative women through skill-sharing workshops. Participants learn hands-on art crafts skill guided by local women artists. The initiative fosters connections through shared creativity, storytelling, and collaboration, celebrating the diversity of women’s talents. Together, it builds a supportive network for sustainable growth and inspiration in Southampton.

Ren is a Hampshire-based multidisciplinary artist primarily working in clay. Her practice often draws on her personal experiences as an Asian migrant, a woman, and a mother. Her artwork often explores the themes of feminine psychodynamics, diasporic identity, and hybrid cultures.
