Part of a series of late-night events at God’s House Tower, GHT Lates is an opportunity to explore the building by night while enjoying live performances from some of the South’s best musicians.

Musicians/ Artists

Kairos Conjunction – “Kairos” – ancient Greek word meaning “The right or opportune moment”.*
“Conjunction” – the act of joining or the condition of being joined, or, in astronomy, the alignment of two or more bodies in the solar system. Kairos Conjunction is a new project bringing together musicians from different backgrounds – folk, jazz, rock, classical, or anything else to craft joyful sounds from a mix of original melodies and jazz standards.

This line-up will feature: Louis Archer (saxophone and flute), Nic Bradford (guitar), Alasdair Paton (accordion), Alan Stewart (percussion) and Jean-Michel Zejgman (bass).

Tenderlore – Tenderlore consists of Hayley McDonnell, Olly Lewis and Rob Kitney, together an Alternative Folk trio rich in harmony and lyrical intent. The trio met whilst at university in Southampton as fellow singer/songwriters. Inspired by each other’s music they began to collaborate on each other’s songs and make their mark on the local music scene.

Recent gigs have seen Tenderlore supporting raucous folk rockers Mad Dog McCrea and 60s pop legends The Move. Plus, headlining the New Forest Folk Festival. Inspired by the likes of Crosby, Stills and Nash, Simon & Garfunkel, Fleet Foxes and Laura Marling, Tenderlore’s sound is the amalgamation of three individual musical identities blending as one.

Katy HooperSelf taught, Katy uses delicate vocals and finger picking guitar to create her own  Folk/World style influenced by a transient life. Her songs relate to speak of the natural world and her personal encounters with the different people and countries through which she travels. Expect a blend of original sound of folk, blues and flamenco to stir the soul.

Katy has performed at music venues and festivals in the UK, Latin America, Scandinavia, Spain and Portugal and her discography comprises of three independently produced records.

At the age of 18 Katy took her guitar and hitchhiked alone from Guatemala up the west coast of America to Alaska before recording her first EP ‘Freedom From The Known´ in Brixton, London (2006). Her second EP ‘Pelican’, recorded in Bristol, UK 2015, explores themes of love and travel and ‘captures the sense of transience of life on the road´, Folk Radio UK, 2015.  Her latest album ‘Handmade Journey recorded in The Canary Islands (2020), is her first full length album and based upon four years living and travelling in Spain and Latin America.
